The Hillians went ahead through Pope on 20 minutes before Josh Gould and Aaron Condon put Regent 2-1 by the hour mark. It was 3-1 when Condon got his second.

Pope gave Hill late hope with his second in the 90th minute but there was not enough time to find an equaliser and the men from the Green Elephants Stadium headed home still in the relegation zone - second from bottom with 15 points.

Hillians are at home to Carshalton next Saturday.
