Ian Chapman made five changes to Wednesday night’s team that lost to Leatherhead - including the reintroduction of aAssistant manager Stuart Tuck to the starting XI.

In very tough windy conditions Hill started brightly with Callum Overton causing the opposition centre halves numerous problems.

Lee Harding’s tenacity was rewarded, in the 20th minute, when his curling effort found the top right corner. Josh James’ fine save on the stroke of half time ensured Hill went into the break 1-0 up.

The second half started as the first ended, with both sides lacking quality in the final third.

However, in the 67th minute, a touch of quality from Leiston’s Billy Clark saw an equaliser for the visitors - a fine volley from 20 yards out. Both sides had chances to win the game in the final 10 minutes, but resolute defending from both ensured the game finished 1-1.

HiQ MOM Stuart Tuck
