Burgess Hill Town Football Club’s incredible season was recognised by Town Mayor, Anne Jones MBE, at a reception on Wednesday evening at the Town Council.
Representatives from the Club met councillors and were presented with a plaque for their Clubhouse in recognition of their Ryman South Istmian League win.
Town Mayor, Anne Jones MBE, said, “This has been a fantastic year for The Hillians. Not only have they won the League and won all but 3 of their matches, but in addition, Ian Chapman was awarded Ryman South Manager of the Season for 2014/15 and 5 of the players were selected in the Rymans South Team of the Season.”
“Off the field, the Club has not stood still. A Clubhouse stand has been erected, facilities in the clubhouse have been improved, community use of the facilities has increased and attendance at matches has increased by 55% in comparison to the 2013/14 season. This is a football club the town can be proud of.”
