Chapman: '˜We must win any way we can'

Burgess Hill Town manager Ian Chapman does not care how his side gets their final win to stay up, as long as they win.

The Hillians lie precariously two places above the relegation zone in the Ryman League Premier.

They can make sure of survival tonight (Wednesday) by beating the side hwo are one place ahead of them on goal difference, Hendon at home.

Chapman said: “It’s one of those games. We must win any way we can. In too many games where we have played well but not won them.”

On Saturday his side we on the verge of clinching their elusive final win when they had a 3-0 half-time lead away to Canvey Island before slipping to a 3-3 draw.

This Saturday Hillians are at home again, to fourth-placed Tonbridge Angels.

Chapman added: “We want to finish the season with two wins to put distance between us and the bottom-four.”

The Hillians’ manager has three centre-halves missing - Will Miles (suspended), Andy Pearson (ran Brighton Half Marathon) and Toby Pointing has a broken toe.
