The rapid fire games finally caught up with the Heath squad as they fell to a 2-1 defeat away to league runners up Crawley Down Gatwick.

Crawley Down Gatwick sportingly did the guard of honour but after that it was down to business as the top two sides in the division went toe to toe.

Crawley down played well and deservedly took the lead after 17 minutes finishing from close range, Heath then upped their game and fought back into the game with Rob O’Toole netting his 39 goal of the season finding the bottom corner from 15 yards.

In the second half Heath upped their game but couldn’t find a way through a resolute CDG defence, with a little over 15 minutes remaining Heath were caught with a sucker punch as CDG broke quickly down field and finished well.

CDG held on and Heath fell to their second league defeat of the season to end the campaign on 90 points and plus 100 goal difference.
