He admitted an misjudged cross by Mark Yeates which was allowed through by goalkeeper Lewis Price handed the Bantams the three points claimed through an early headed goal by Francoise Zoko.

“The goal was a goalkeeping error that has really cost us the game.

“It’s the best we’ve played. We’ve come here against a top team and our keeper’s not had a shot to save.”

Despite Bradford having more of the ball, the Reds nearly equalised from a Lee Fowler free-kick which was well-saved by home keeper Jordan Pickford.

Skybet Player of the Month nominee Izale McLeod had two chances to earn his side an away draw but Bradford emerged triumphant.
