Oscar Garcia named an unchanged side from the one that drew 1-1 with Watford on Monday evening and it paid dividends as Jake Forster-Caskey opened the scoring.

Prior to kick off the Seagulls had failed to find the net in their previous four away games, but it took just seven minutes to do so at the Keepmoat.

Forster-Caskey whistled a strike from 35-yards and it whipped past former Chelsea goalkeeper Ross Turnbull in the Doncaster goal.

Albion dominated proceedings in the opening half and almost doubled their lead through Will Buckley after his shot from range forced Turnbull into an instinctive save.

Buckley then fed the ball for Stephen Ward to have a strike at goal, and although his effort was blocked he got another chance moments later when he nodded a Craig Conway corner narrowly wide.

Conway then had an attempt of his own but Turnbull managed to claw it away, while Yun Suk-Young came closest for the home side with a powerful shot from inside Albion’s 18-yeard box.

Albion’s slick play dissolved in the second half as Paul Dickov’s men raised their energy levels, and they finally levelled the game with just 15 minutes left on the clock.

Mark Duffy’s delivery from a free kick was pounced upon by Chris Brown who calmly slotted past Tomasz Kuszczak for his fifth goal of the season.

It forced Oscar into an attacking change with Leroy Lita and replacing goalscorer Forster-Caskey and the switch instantly changed the game for the Seasiders.

With his first touch of the ball, Lita slammed the ball into the corner of the net after Ashley Barnes’ acrobatic effort was blocked.

The game was then wrapped up when David Lopez, who had replaced an injured-Buckley earlier in the game, curled his free kick into the top corner with only stoppage time to play.

The win lifts Albion to 12th in the Championship table.
