The Ryman League South division side continued their impressive cup run this season with a 3-1 victory over Sutton United in the last round and although Chapman is excited at the prospect of another scalp, he is wary of the opposition.

Chapman said: “It is going to be a difficult game, but we will go there to enjoy ourselves and have a proper go to see if we can get the result. Of course they are the favourites, but you never know in football and anything can happen on the day.

“It is a big club for us to play and it will be great to play in front of what should be a good crowd and test ourselves against some quality players, even though they are not having the best of seasons.”

Burgess Hill are unbeaten in 19 games this season, winning the last 13 and have so far beaten Eastbourne United, Croydon, Fleet Town and Sutton on their way to the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.

But manager Chapman remains modest about his team’s excellent run.

“We are on a nice run both in the league and the cup and the players have played well this season, but the league remains our priority this year.

“It is our bread and butter and we want to stay at the top of the league for as long as we can.

“The players are obviously very confident because of our form this year and that might help us against Dartford, but it will still be a very difficult game.”
