Hassocks break club record with eighth consecutive win

A solitary goal from Phil Gault in te 19th minute made it a record-breaking eight wins on the trot for Hassocks as they beat Horsham YM 1-0 at the Beacon.

It’s the first time the club has won eight consecutive games in senior football.

St Francis Rangers lost 5-0 away to Horsham despite holding the league leaders to just one goal at half time.

Rangers are still looking for their first point of the season.

In Division one of the Southern Combination League, Haywards Heath continued their fantastic run, beating Storrington 4-0.

The goals came from Danny Turner (2), Ryan Warwick and Rob 0’Toole.

In the Ryman Premier, Burgess Hill Town drew 1-1 away at Metropolitan Police. Chris Smith scored the Hillians goal.
