A community football club donned a new strip for their pre-season friendly matches thanks to generous neighbours.

Hassocks FC played Lewes wearing smart new shirts courtesy of South Downs Nurseries which is located next to the club headquarters in the Brighton Road.

“We are grateful to South Downs Nurseries for their kind sponsorship”, says Hassocks FC’s first team manager Mark Dagleish. “The lads really appreciate having new kit for the new season which they hope will be a successful one for the team.”

The garden centre supports many local initiatives as part of its involvement in the community. “It’s a vital part of what we are about”, explains South Downs Nurserires’ general manager Mark Hillyard. “We help those locally who need it and are proud to support the football club and all it does in the community.”
