Haywards Heath moved into the top four with a dramatic late winner at home to Hastings.

Sam Adams gave the men from Pilot Field the lead four minutes into the second period but Karl Akehurst levelled the score midway through the half.

Alex Laing struck six minutes from the end to make it four wins and a draw from their past five Bostik south east division matches and put them into fourth spot.

In fact there are now three Sussex teams in the top four all on 28 points - with Hastings second and Horsham third.

Haywards Heath host Horsham on December 22.

In the Southern Combination premier Hassocks lost 2-1 at Eastbourne Town, with James Westlake's goal all they had to show for their efforts late on after goals from Sonny Dullaway and Marcus Goldsmith had put Town in control.

St Francis' trip to AFC Varndeanians in division one was rained off.
