Burgess Hill Town Ladies made it two wins in as many matches with a 2-1 success over Crockenhill in the South East Counties Womens League.
The victory was that little more impressive as the Hillians were forced into a number of changes from their last starting line up.
Burgess Hill took the lead on 20 minutes as Keeley Wheatly headed over the Crockenhill keeper to put her side ahead.
It was two soon after as Wheatly headed home from a Naomi Robinson corner.
Crockenhill responded well to falling two goals behind, though, and pulled a goal back as it was 2-1 at the break.
The score remained the same in the second period and the Hillians held on for the win, to stay fifth in the South East Countie League.
The win was made that little more sweeter as Mishon Mackay Land & New Homes, who are based in Hove have agreed to sponsor bot the ladies first and second team for this season and the following.
Burgess Hill Ladies boss Tony McDonald said: “This is an excellent sponsorship for a very young group of players who are starting to find their feet in this competitive League structure.
“We hope it’s that start of a long relationship with Mishon Mackay and we are very grateful for their patronage.”
