Reds players celebrate one of Tom Nichols' recent goals

The Reds currently have a game in hand over sixth placed Newport County. This has led to fans getting excited for the remainder of the season.

James Gillham, along with other fans, can start to feel a play off place on the way. He posrted a picture of the league table on the Crawley Town FC Supporters Group Facebook page and said: “Who’s feeling the play-offs now? Game in hand also.”

Ivan Noel replied: “It would be a monumental task but our lads have proven that, on their day, they’re a match for anyone.”

However some fans aren’t getting too excited yet, with a lot of games still to play, it’s a hard task to keep form running for a while.

Reuben Watt said: “I’m not expecting any play- offs. We have had a good season and don’t want then to be disappointed by not getting into them.”

After beating a team two league spaces higher and three points better off, most fans are just happy with the win and want to keep momentum going.

We are entering the most crucial part of the season and the team need to be picking up as many points as they can before the play- offs are unreachable.

Josh Falkner is happy to see the strike partnership between Nadesan and Nichols helping Crawley pick up those crucial points.

He tweeted: “Another great win and keeps the momentum going. Also great to see both Nadesan and Nichols scoring goals. That’s 5 goals in 4 games between them and they both caused problems for Salford tonight.”

@NorthfieldJack is happy to see back to back wins. He said: “Brilliant back to back wins and a trio of consecutive home wins as well.”

Crawley take on Mansfield Town on Saturday, March 13 in an attempt to push closer to the play- offs.
