Konyar was still on cloud nine on Monday as he spoke about the 'fantastic day' for the club and 'the best result in the club's history.

The advisor to chairman Ziya Eren was as the game to see goals from Nick Tsaroulla, Ashley Nadesan and Jordan Tunnicliffe stun Leeds United as the Reds romped to a 3-0 win.

And Konyar revealed the moment he saw the Leeds team, he knew they were on to a winner.

He said: "To be honest with you, when I saw Leeds’ line-up, I thought, ‘we have a chance here’, even though there were a lot of good players in their side.

"I know our lads were just chomping at the bit to go. I know our team. They are a hard-working, physical side who will give you everything.

"We are a hard-working team who have a bit of quality who can hurt teams.

The quickfire double was important. It was just a fantastic day regardless of the result.

"You have Kalvin Phillips, Rodrigo and Raphinha playing - those guys combined are worth £100million.

"But the important thing is that is was a fantastic day for the football club.

"I don’t want to hype it too much, but it’s probably the best result in the club’s history.

"For once I am lost for words."

And on the fourth round draw, Konyar said: "As long as we are at home and on TV I will take anyone.

And he added: "It’s great for everyone. This is important for the town and it puts the club on the map again. I know in 2011 we went to Manchester United but we are now back in the limelight and everyone at the club deserves it.

"From the chairman to Tom Allman, Clare James and Joe Comper and everyone off the pitch they give everything - blood, sweat and tears."
