And this has been given plenty of attention on social media and even made reports in newspapers across the world..

The Metro headlined their story ‘Premier League solve Hull City’s squad crisis by naming Greg Luer ELEVEN times’.

Lee Nicholls tweeted: “Only just catching up on #HCAFC news today.. WE ALL DREAM OF A SQUAD OF GREG LUER’S, A SQUAD OF GREG LUER’S, A SQUAD OF GREG LUER’S”, while Andy Steele tweeted: “@luergreg is going to be busy!”.

The Diário Record paper in Portugal ran a story headline: HULL CITY “CLONOU” GREG LUER - which translate to Hull City ‘cloned’ Greg Luer.

And WantMyBet followed with a similar theme. tweeting “Hull City solve their squad problems by cloning Greg Luer” with a screen shot of the squad list.

Luer joined Hull City from Burgess Hill Town in 2015 after a string of impressive performances.

In his time at Hull he has had loan spells at Scunthorpe and Port Vale.
