Lewes, who were relegated this season, snapped up the services of the Burgess Hill Town forward after Jonte Smith left the club.

Perry, who spent a lot of last season injured, said: “I’ve been at Burgess Hill for four years now, two in the youth team and two for the first team. I have developed so much but I didn’t play much last year due to injury and feel this year is the right time to move on and gain experience somewhere else.

“At Lewes I hope to score goals on a regular basis and hopefully we can bounce back to the Ryman Premier first time of asking.

Perry enjoyed his years at Burgess Hill.

He told Middy Sport: “I had amazing memories at Burgess Hill winning the league, beating aldershot and scoring the winner! I wish burgess hill the best of luck for the future.

“I want to say thanks to Chappers, Tucky, John and Paul, the chairman Kevin Newell and everyone behind the scenes for everything they have done for me, especially the fans who have really stuck by me during my time at Burgess Hill.”

Joe Keehan, Andy Pearson, Darren Budd, and Perry have all left the Green Elephants Stadium since the end of the season.
