Poor fare for the fans onbitterly cold night whenpossession goes cheaply

Free-scoring Robins were disappointed to be held by lowly visitors on Tuesday.

Chances were at a premium in a game that offered poor fare for those spectators braving the cold as both sides gave away possession far too cheaply.

Hassocks’ best move of the first half came on 37 minutes when James Westlake and Jamie Weston combined to enable Nathan Miles to test the keeper. From the resulting corner, a scramble ended with a Miles effort hitting the top of the bar.

After having the best of the first half, things evened up more after the break when sub Anthony Hibbert brought the best out of the visiting keeper.
