Red letter day as Crawleycall in at Leylands Park

Burgess Hill are hoping for a big turnout when fast-rising Crawley Town bring a strong squad to Leylands Park on Saturday (3pm).

The League One club will include summer signing Andy Drury along with favourites Sergio Torres, Gary Alexander and Kyle McFadzean.

Richie Barker has more or less ruled out any new arrivals at the Broadfield after a modest dip into the market during the summer but the club have made rapid strides and will want to continue their progress this season.

Admission prices are £10 for adults, £5 for senior citizens and under 18s free.

It will be Hillians’ fourth pre-season friendly after they opened with a 2-0 defeat against Worthing United. Hill enjoyed plenty of possession and they put it to better use in their second outing against newly-promoted Haywards Heath, winning 3-1 with goals by Richard Greenfield, Max Miller and Pat Harding.

On Tuesday Hillians won 5-0 at Hassocks.
