Rockinghorse children’s charity team up with youth football league

The Brighton based charity is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital where they raise money for life-saving and cutting-edge medical equipment, while ensuring that children are treated in an environment that is better suited to their needs. The pro-active youth league has set itself a season donation target of £5000 which will go a long way in assisting the charity in its various fund raising projects.

Community & Schools Fundraising Manager, Charlotte Gough-Cooper said “We were delighted to have been approached by Mid Sussex Youth & Minor Football League to support Rockinghorse. It is a fantastic opportunity for the teams & players to support Sussex children just like them. As the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, vital supporter of the Trevor Mann Baby Unit (TMBU) in Brighton as well as the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) based within the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath, we look to work closely with local community groups and clubs enabling us to raise vital funds. We look forward to working with the team at MSYMFL as part of an ongoing partnership this season.”

The league kick off their fundraising campaign at their next Mini Soccer Festival on Saturday 18th October at Waterhall (Brighton) that will host 30 teams at the under 7 & 8 age groups where they normally attract over 250 spectators to these monthly events. League Spokesperson, John Edwards added “We are so proud to be working with the Rockinghorse as one of their fundraising partners. We have set ourselves an achievable donation target across the season and we will be encouraging and working hard with all our member clubs & partners to get involved in helping us achieve this across all our live events and other activities.”
