He thought they played a good first half and could have taken the lead by half-time.

But the second half display was not as good and ended up in Notts County ending Reds’ proud home record with a goal from a rare chance.

Jenkins said: “It’s disappointing from our point of view.

“We tried to carry on the home record and I thought in the first half we did well and could’ve nicked one or two goals, but in the second half we were off the pace.

“We invited pressure and when you do that against a team like Notts County they are going to take their chances. They only had one or two chances.

“I thought the atmosphere died a little bit in the second half but that needs to come from us as well - we can’t just rely on the crowd.

“We let them get back into the game second half and the end product wasn’t as good as the first half. Those little differences, those little one per cents cost you the game.

“We will take the positives out of the game and into Saturday against Yeovil, and go again. We can’t be too disappointed. It’s a loss and we need to move on and look forward to next weekend.”
