Barnet FC’s Head of Academy Recruitment Joe Monks has been confirmed as St Francis Rangers’ new manager.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding next season, Goss was able to confirm Kai Bichard’s successor quickly.

Bichard was sacked as manager on Monday.

He said: “Joe will be coming in immediately with an assistant and a coach.

“At the moment he is on holiday and returning on Friday, but his assistant will be at training tonight to assess the players.

“Joe is also looking to bring in players from Barnet’s academy, which will hopefully see us improve.”

The chairman, who has been involved in the club for 20 years, rounded off by saying he would like to thank Bichard for his time at the club.

He said: “Despite there being some disagreements, I’d still like to thank Kai for his time.

“He was on no money, we had and still have no money, so it’s an impossible task really.”

Monks’ first game in charge for St Francis will be this Saturday, as Rangers host Eastbourne United.
