The club had to self-isolate from last Tuesday after it was confirmed there was a Covid outbreak. And this morning (Monday), the club confirmed there were five players who tested positive.

He said: "Let’s get back to business. But the most important think is the the health of the players is on the mend. There is no one suffering serious symptoms, that’s the most important thing.

"There hasn’t been anything permanently damaging for the squad's health and that’s the most important thing.

"I am just glad to be watching a football match again. We are a good team and we are a united group that can achieve anything, the world is our oyster."

And Crawley get right back into action tomorrow night with their FA Cup trip to AFC Bournemouth.

Konyar said: "No one expects to go there and win but the lads will be going there chomping at the bit and give everything they have got and that’s all I can ask for."

The enforced break has meant Crawley have missed three games and has seen them drop to 12th in the League Two table and now they are playing catch-up. But Konyar said: "I think it’s too early to tell whether it will have a negative effect. If we go and win the next three league games, the effect was good.

"At the end of the day, this is something the virus has made us do, it’s a break in our momentum. The good thing about the Bournemouth game is that it give us some fitness in the legs to go into the league game at the weekend."
