Worthing have been averaging 666 this season, leaving them trailing behind only league rivals Dulwich Hamlet and Northern Premier Division outfit Stourbridge at step-three level.

George Dowell, who took over as Worthing chairman back in 2015, believes the continuous support during his time at the club has been remarkable.

He said: "It's great to see the numbers continue to turn up week-in, week-out. We had some big games over Christmas and the start of this year but the crowds have continued to be high.

"The support has been absolutely brilliant and I think everyone is buying into the community feel we've got at the club now.

"Obviously winning matches and being successful helps draw supporters but even over a tough period at present fans have continued to come down to Woodside Road and cheer us on."
