At the other end of the Club the 1st XI hosted Worthing in the first round of the National Vase competition at Ardingly College’s superb new pitch. In a cracking game the final whistle saw the scores level at 4-4 but Mid Sussex won through 4-3 on penalty shuffles and face Yateley in the next round.
