The Hurst juniors won their age category for the second year running, finishing on 139 points ahead of St John’s Leatherhead on 126 and Wellington College on 119. Katinka Carleton-Smith put in a great performance in the hurdles to finish second and after a superb sprint finish she won the 800m. Micki Scott picked up two 2nd places in the discus and shot put and Arabella Beattie was runner-up in the Javelin, high jump and 300m.

The intermediate girls had a close competition; Hurst scored 137 points and were just being beaten into second place by Cranleigh on 139, with Wellington taking 3rd place with 131. Ali Crocker flew through the field to win the 80m hurdles by some distance, Catriona Jamieson threw the Javelin further than any competitor (including the seniors) to secure maximum points. Sylvie Withycombe and Jess Emens were both narrowly beaten to 2nd place in the 300m and 1500m respectively and in the penultimate race, our inter relay team (Ali Crocker, Jess Emens, Jemma Murphy and Annie Frost) flew round the track to win in a great time.
