The competition was held at Copthorne Golf Club, where 50 clubs took part. Our ladies, Meg James, Margaret Jones, Sue Wilson and Aisling Cloonan, were out first and scored 66 points, which was 3 points higher than the next score.

This was a wonderful achievement by our ladies and our congratulations to them all.

News of their win was relayed to Rosemary Parvin, the Ladies’ Captain, on her return from our Ladies Exchange Day at Betchworth Park.

As our ladies had been out very early at Copthorne, they had all gone home when the call came at 6pm to say that they had won and should all return to Copthorne to be presented with the Cup and Shield.
