Three in a row for Seniors

The Sixsmith Salver annual foursomes match between the Haywards Heath Golf Club Seniors and Ladies Section took place on Friday 30 May in dry conditions, which was much appreciated by the participants after a week of wet and windy weather.

After two years of winning this event, the Seniors had to give three extra shots to the Ladies. Despite this extra burden, the Seniors emerged victorious, winning 6 matches and losing 4.

This means that in 2015 the Seniors will give four extra shots!

Although each individual match is keenly contested the event is primarily a social affair and is much appreciated by the participants.

The Sixsmith Salver was instigated in year 2000 by Eric Sixsmith and the long term record shows Ladies 6 wins, Seniors 7 wins and 2 halved matches.
