Heath enjoy weekend West Country tour before semi-final clash

Last weekend Heath senior squad set off to the West Country on their 2015 Tour.

On Saturday the team was piped onto the pitch by bagpipe playing Club Captain Kevin McDonald before kick off at the Rectory Ground in Plymouth against Devonport Services RFC.

Devonport Services, nicknamed The Sporting Blues, are a Level 7 club who play in the South West Division - Western Counties League. The Rectory Ground has also been the venue of famous games such as the All Blacks versus Combined Services.

Heath won in a match full of incident and fast, competitive, try scoring rugby by 38-22 and enjoyed great company with their west country rugby family after the match. Then on the way back to Sussex on Sunday, Heath played Dorchester RFC and proved their stamina and resilience running out winners by 38-24. A great weekend was had by all – now it’s back to serious business as Heath take on Crowborough in the semi-final of the Bob Rogers Cup this Thursday 30 April, kick off is at Brighton RFC at 7.30pm.
