Away wins at Heathfield and Sussex Police together with a home win against Eastbourne II have left Heath on top of the league on points difference but with the undefeated Midhurst breathing down their necks. A strong team performance showing excellent, attacking rugby coupled with a committed defence have led to Heath sitting in pole position in their drive for promotion and a number of players have put in some very strong performances in the opening matches of the season. However it is the ever present Jack Lucas who has been named The Tierney Wealth Consultancy Player of the Month for September. The award, which will be presented before the next home game against Shoreham on the 18th October, recognises Lucas’s contribution to Heath’s strong start to the campaign which included a brace of tries against Sussex Police.

Commenting on this award, Phil Herbert, Commercial Director at HHRFC said ”At Heath we are pleased to recognise the true value of teamwork as we strive to achieve the best possible standing in the league this season but we believe that within the team there are individuals who deserve to be recognised for their outstanding contribution on the pitch week in week out. Heath is delighted that a new commercial partner, The Tierney Wealth Consultancy, has taken the opportunity to sponsor our Player of the Month award this season and the prize will be presented to Jack by the principal of the business, James Tierney, prior to the next home match.”
