Heath’s rugby squad arehoping to rekindle thoseglory years of the 90s

After a few seasons in the doldrums, Haywards Heath’s rugby team are in good shape and looking forward to the new season.

Back in charge as Director of Rugby is Steve Heaton, coach during the glory years of the 90s, while lead coach is former Worthing and Sussex captain Jody Levett.

With strong player retention from last season, new faces in key positions, notably experienced county outside half Tom Stokes, and some emerging talent from the colts, such as Sam Fieldwick and Richard Sharpe, there is a lot of confidence in the team, who this week visit Thurrock for their second warm-up game.
