Under blue skies at Whiteman’s Green, Ditchling started the stronger team, breaching the Heath 22 but Heath quickly regrouped, turned over the ball and turned defence into attack, camping on the Ditchling line and recycling the ball through a number of phases before scrum half Pritchard went over with a dart from short range to put the first points on the board - the try was converted by fly half Fotheringham, 7-0.

Heath maintained the pressure and their second try came from a kick ahead followed by a crunching tackle by center Jack Lucas on the Ditchling full-back which dislodged the ball and one quick pass saw wing Mike Chard score in the left hand corner, 12-0. Heath were dominating at the breakdown before Dan Fergusson came through the middle of the ruck to win a turnover and good quick hands again by Heath saw Fotheringham over for a try which he converted to make it 19-0. The Heath fly half also scored the next try after another Heath turnover in the Ditchling 22 making the score 24-0. Heath continued to apply pressure for the next ten minutes but strong Ditchling tackling held them at bay until Fotheringham spotted no one at home for Ditchling and chipped over the defensive line and outpaced the cover to score his hat-trick and make it 29-0 going into half-time.

Three substitutions from Heath at half time saw veteran Meredith on at scrum half, Steve May at lock and Alex Chard at fly half. The second half was a much tighter affair until the move of the game from Heath saw some sharp passing by the half backs before a great line by Matt Duncan pierced the defence to score under the posts, 36-0. Heath was not finished and two more tries - Alex Chard with a short range effort using good strength to break two tackles and Sam Drage who showed good pace and footwork to cap another fine game by dotting down after a chip ahead by Meredith. Final Score showed another fine win for Heath, 48-0 with Mike Chard being awarded Man of the Match.
