Alan sadly passed away last month and the league committee have agreed that to honour his memory, the best performing player in the billiards league will be presented with the annual Alan Foster Shield.

Alan was a popular and well respected member of his team at the Keymer and Hassocks Mens Club and represented Mid Sussex at both billiards and snooker. He won many team and individual trophies which included him being the snooker open champion in 1966-67 and 1976-77 seasons.
