A number of track meetings have been held, as well road races in secure locations and even a few off-road and multi-terrain events.

Planned races elsewhere in the south have had to be shelved for the time being because of the withdrawal of permission from landowners, although a smaller event was able to go ahead at Lloyd Park, Croydon, over one recent weekend.

There will be a further delay now the new national lockdown measures put a stop to all non-elite sport.

But Sussex clubs have been asked to try to find suitable locations with athletes and coaches eager to see a return to competition soon as possible.

Anyone who can offer a suitable venue for races to take place is asked to contact their local club in the first instance, a list of which can be found on the Sussex County AA website.
