Peter Molloy, 18, signs off in style
Last week Peter Molloy from the Weald won both the Under 18 boys final (beating Jack Gibbons 7-6, 7-5) and the Mens Open event (beating Robert White 5-7,6-1,6-3) at the Weald Open Junior Tournament.
This week he is leaving his family home in Albourne to start a 4 year tennis scholarship at the Southern Illinios University in the USA. As well as concentrating on tennis Peter will be studying for a Business Marketing degree.
Peter is looking forward to this opportunity to experience amercian university life and developing his tennis game. However he is worried about missing his mum’s cooking and having to wash his tennis kit.
