The four try bonus point win ensured maximum points for the Heath squad which, courtesy of league leaders Chichester only managing a draw against Horsham, meant that Heath now jointly top the table with one league match remaining.

The away trip to Eastbourne held no fears for the Heath squad who mixed a ferocious jackalling and tackling game with fast instinctive open rugby. Two tries each for Cordeschi and Herbert plus tries from McCall, Ratcliff ,McLaren and Jones (three of which were converted by Liebers ) sealed the win which led Head Coach Clive Thomas to praise the commitment and attitude of his entire squad and the way they are playing and developing their rugby as the season progresses.

Heath have since played and beaten a very strong Sutton & Epsom side and this weekend put in another dominant display to run out 49-0 winners against a Hove team who have been playing very well this season and top the B league.

Heath’s current run of form has set them up nicely for their final league game of the season which is at home to third placed Shoreham on the 8th March.
