Starting strongly Heath were quickly off the mark winning 5-0 against Lewes. Their second match against Cobham proved to be the toughest encounter of the day with Heath finding themselves 1-2 down at half time having had a try disallowed for not grounding properly. They regrouped and came out determined for the second 7 minute period and fought back against a fiercely defensive Cobham side to win 3-2.

Next up were the home team and Heath were expecting fireworks from the opposition but Heath’s pace and skill put them in a winning position very early and the final score of 5-1 to Heath is a reflection of the experience Heath showed all day in keeping their emotions in check and letting their rugby do the talking. The fourth and final match of a long and exhausting tournament played in beautifully sunny but very hot conditions allowed Heath to demonstrate all their skill, guile and fitness as they ran in seven tries to win 7-0.
