Rio 2016: UPDATE - Mitchell leads Great Britain to two rugby 7s victories

Cuckfield's Tom Mitchell lead Great Britain to two wins in their first two games of the rugby 7s in Rio.

Skipper Mitchell kicked three conversions as they cruised to a 31-7 victory against Kenya in the first group match.

They had a tougher battle in the second match, edging past Japan by just TWO points 21-9.

England took a 21-14 lead before Japan scored a try in the dying minutes, but they could not convert.

Mitchell again kicked three conversions.

Great Britain finish the group with a match against New Zealand tomorrow.
