The team won all their pool matches on Thursday and Friday fairly comfortably.

However Saturday’s quarter-finals and semi-finals proved to be a tougher test, especially for Curtis who was playing at No.1 as he dropped a game to the Belgium No.1 in the quarters and lost two games to the Czech No.1 in the semi-final, but came through to win both individually and as a team.

So onto an in-form French side in the final, who boast the European U15s No.1 Victor Crouin and the No.4 Hugo Mandill and Girls’ No.6 Fanny Segers!

Haywards Heath based Curtis went 2-1 down and somehow found some real form and determination to win through for England and as captain against the European U15s No1 by winning the fourth and fifth games to take the match 3-2 to secure the European Junior Team Championships title.
