Matthew Effemey, operations manager at The Capitol, said: “The Capitol is delighted to announce an excellent programme of Christmas entertainment for 2020 including A Christmas Carol starring acclaimed actor Jack Lane (Wisdom of a Fool and Dad’s Army Radio Show), a fantastic festive show for a younger audience, Santa’s New Sleigh and a wonderful selection of Christmas films in the run-up to the Christmas festivities.

“These shows provide an exciting alternative to our traditional pantomime for 2020 which has unfortunately had to be cancelled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Any customers with 2020 pantomime tickets will be contacted by the box office team in the next few days.”

Matthew added: “We are now delighted to be in a position to stage our Christmas live entertainment and film programme for 2020, creating a really special festive experience for our customers across all ages.

“Rest assured that a brand-new pantomime production for Christmas 2021 is already being planned, which will be our biggest and best panto yet.”

Horsham District Council deputy leader and cabinet member for culture and leisure Cllr Jonathan Chowen added: “We are really excited to be staging such a broad selection of Christmas themed events this year, both live performances and films.

“It’s great to have our doors open to the public again and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in the upcoming weeks and throughout the festive period for our Christmas celebrations.”
