Entitled ‘The Last Night of the Proms’, the orchestra presented a wonderful selection of music from Superman March, Adagio from Spartacus, and West Side Story, ending the first half with a rousing rendition of the 1812 Overture.

Following the interval, where the Mid Sussex District Scouts provided refreshments, the orchestra began with music from Frozen followed by O Mio Babbino Caro sung by the delightful soprano Rachel Shouksmith.

Then to finish in the style of ‘The Last Night of the Proms’, the orchestra played the well known Nimrod followed by Fantasia on British Sea Songs, Jerusalem and the famous Pomp and Circumstance March.

Finally the audience was invited to join in with the very professional orchestra, singing Land of Hope and Glory.

Such a superb evening of music and entertainment was enjoyed by such an appreciative audience who will no doubt be attending their next concert at St Andrew’s Church onMay 16, 2020.
