Impressive young mezzo soprano Siân Griffiths is set to give a song recital accompanied by Carol Kelly on piano, as part of the First Sunday series at St Michael’s Church, High Street Lewes.
The show starts at 3pm on Sunday, August 7.
The programme includes Robert Schumann’s ‘Frauenliebe und Leben’, Debussy’s ‘Chansons de Bilitis’ and Elgar’s ‘Sea Pictures’.
Admission is free and there is a retiring collection in aid of church repairs.
Siân will be starting her postgraduate training in Voice at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in September. She has sung Lucy in John Gay’s Beggar’s Opera, Puck in Weber’s Oberon and Cupid in Purcell’s Indian Queen, all for New Sussex Opera, as well as Chorus in Garsington’s 2016 productions of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin and Mozart’s Idomeneo.
