A unique amateur theatre company is bringing a modern story of love and art to Horley.
Actors from The Archway Theatre are performing The Shape of Things, by American film director and playwright Neil LaBute.
The show runs at the venue from January 13 to 17, and from January 20 to 24 (7.45pm).
The play asks the questions ‘how far would you go for love and for art?’ and ‘what price might you pay?’
A young student drifts into an ever-changing relationship with an art major while his best friend’s engagement crumbles. This unleashes a drama that peels back the skin of two modern day relationships, exposing the raw meat and gristle that lies beneath.
The Shape of Things is a moving comment on what people will do for love. It deals with relationships, dishonesty and manipulation, but it is also a polemic on what is or isn’t art.
Tickets cost £8.50 for members or £10 for non-members.
