The band includes Matt on bass, Jason Yarde on saxophone, John Turville on piano, and George Hart on drums.

Formed in 2012, the Matt Ridley Quartet has appeared several times at London’s prestigious Southbank Centre, toured the UK in 2013 and were featured at the 2014 Swanage Jazz Festival. Their debut album ‘Thymos’ was hailed as ‘one of 2013’s best UK jazz releases’ and the accompanying tour gained widespread praise from critics and audiences alike.

Globally recognised saxophonist, composer and producer Jason Yarde joined the band after appearing as a special guest on ‘Thymos’, lending an extra dimension and creating what the London Jazz Blog described as ‘music of great dynamic energy’.

The band also features Parliamentary Jazz Award winner John Turville on piano and the ever-inventive George Hart on drums.
