Having a ball with Cinderella

IT'S panto year for the Bury Players, who will be staging Cinderella at the end of the month.

As Lynne Gardner, who plays the Fairy Godmother, explains, the company dips into panto every other year.

"This one is written by Christopher Loveless who is a local vicar," she said.

"It's traditional family fun with all the usual characters and lots of jokes."

The show goes on stage on Thursday and Friday this week at 7.30pm in Bury Village Hall and also on Saturday at 2pm and 7.30pm. Tickets can be obtained on 01798 831468.
