Poem at Easter

YOU died dear Lord that we might live,That we might walk with you,The heavenward road that leads to God,Where there is life anew.

The cross that you were nailed to Lord,

Was the cross of our salvation;

Your gift of everlasting life,

Our hope and consolation.

We know that you are waiting Lord,

And like a beacon shine,

Until our souls return to you,

And we're forever thine.
