Slide show of St Lawrence Fair in Hurstpierpoint

The dust has settled on St Lawrence Fair’s 700th anniversary but memories of a very special day live on.

Our photographer, Derek Martin, has created a slide show of the float procession, which had a ‘7’ theme.

The fair procession last Saturday was heralded by a peel of bells, with fun continuing on the recreation ground through the afternoon.

Sylvia Thornhill created a special sculpture - a ring of seven children - to celebrate the anniversary.

The sculpture, which symbolises the fun the fair has brought to generations of children, is on the village green.
