Support for hospice on Roaring 20s Day

Playing outside the Albatross Club during Roaring 20’s Day, The Exiles entertained with their mix of Blues, Celtic foot-tappers and folk songs. The day was perfect, the clatter and snarl of vintage planes added to the atmosphere and the audience sampled local real ales.

The Exiles collected almost £300 for St Michael’s Hospice in response to the recent tragedy, and thanks the Albatross Club staff and members of the audience who were “tireless” in collecting donations.

The Exiles are well known in Bexhill and regular performers at No 48 Devonshire Road, at the Albatross Club Beer Festivals and recently at the Bexhill Hospital Garden Party. The band’s offshoot trio, Blues Plus, will be playing on Sunday July 26, at 1.30pm, outside the Albatross Club, for the Motor Cycle Festival and again on July 29 at 8pm in Kerry’s.
