Comedy for festive weeks

Brighton’s Komedia has confirmed a Krater Christmas Kracker programme full of laughs for the festive weeks.

The programme runs from Friday, December 2-Thursday, December 22, with tickets available at www.komedia.co.uk/brighton or on 0845 293 8480.

Spokeswoman Emily Coleman said: “Krater Comedy Club is the weekend sell-out event at Komedia, so why not extend this into the week in the name of Christmas as the original and best, tried-and-tested, risk-free Christmas party!

“Perfect for any sized group, large or small, the ticket includes a delicious three-course meal, an award-winning compere, two of the best stand-ups in the business and dancing until late at our brand new club night ipop.

“You’ll not only be treated to the speed-talking funny man Stephen Grant as compere, but also a feast of top acts.”

This year’s line-up includes Sean Collins. Sean began comedy in 1990 in Vancouver, Canada, after a career as a children’s counsellor on the psychiatric unit at a local hospital. He is a regular on the comedy rounds as a headlining act and has appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.

Also heading to Brighton is The Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue.

“Aprop/music driven double act, they’ve been professionally dancing about and holding up words and pictures since 2004, though they’ve been enthusiastic amateurs for much longer,” Emiliy said.

“Once you’ve laughed your full belly off, come and party with us to a non-stop shuffle of the biggest pop and party anthems,” Emily added.

“At iPop, audience participation is key. We’ll have slips ready on which you can write your favourite tune and with a little bit of luck our DJs will play your song. Plus floor-fillers from the past five decades from 60s pop to 70s disco, 80s anthems, 90s indie and bangers from the past ten years.”
