Eastbourne travel shop to remain open
The branch of Hays Travel in Eastbourne town centre will remain open, the company has confirmed.
The travel firm announced last week it was closing 89 of its 535 stores following a review into its take over of Thomas Cook in 2019.
The former Thomas Cook branch in Terminus Road was taken over during the 2019 buyout.

Hide AdA Hays Travel spokeswoman said the third national lockdown and travel ban meant “the company had to act” but the Terminus Road store would remain open for business.
A spokesperson said, “Nationally a number of stores are closing but Eastbourne is not one of them.
“During lockdown the staff are working from home and in contact with customers by phone, and meeting virtually on zoom, FaceTime and Skype.”
