Adur’s coronavirus cases continue to fall as lockdown eases

On Monday (April 12), the nation took its latest step away from strict social restrictions with the reopening of non-essential shops, pubs and hairdressers.
While the impact of more social mixing will take time to reveal itself in figures, Adur’s Covid stats give cause for optimism.

Hide AdIn the week ending April 10, Adur recorded 11 new cases of Covid-19
That figure is one fewer than the week before.
Our district’s rate of infection is 17 cases per 100,000 people – compared to the national average of 19.
A total of 2,878 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Adur since the pandemic began at the beginning of last year.
Sadly, 90 people have now died within 28 days of a positive test.
Up to April 8, 33,873 doses of the vaccine have been administered in Adur.
